When praising the health care system

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I READ a recent letter from Moina Spencer from Toronto, Canada, praising the health care system in Jamaica. However, she did not fully disclose all relevant facts surrounding her particular case. She did not disclose that both of her parents are medical doctors, well known to the Jamaican medical community.
She did not disclose that her father is Dr. Howard Spencer and her mother is Dr. Judith Rose-Spencer and she was not just an anonymous citizen seeking health care in Jamaica. Let me suggest to her that if it had become necessary for her to attend KPH and wait on free health care, as she was seeking in Canada, then possibly next year this time she would still be waiting. Let me also suggest that if she had been willing to get private health care in Canada, as she did in Jamaica, then her treatment would have been just as instantaneous.
Next time be honest in your praise and disclose all the facts, and by the way, "if no where no better than yard" then what are you doing in Canada?
