Too long for passport renewal

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I WOULD like to know what is going on with the Passport Office in Jamaica. I have submitted my passport for renewal via the Miami chapter since June 9, 2003 and to date I am yet to see the return of my passport which I need to travel in October.
Sir, my date to travel is October 18, 2003, so I am requesting any assistance which can be offered as to how I can get back my passport.
