... More water woes
published: Thursday | October 2, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

PLEASE ALLOW me a space in your publication in order to express the pain and hurt I have been enduring as a result of the lack of interest and dedication displayed by the National Water Commission.

For the past month the communities of Rosemount, Rose Heights, Rosemount Gardens, Farm Heights and Capital Heights have been experiencing the absence of piped water. It is unbelievable that an organisation that embraces the view, 'Water is Life', fails to remember us as citizens, humans and users of this invaluable resource.

Is it that there is no need for life in these parts? Please be reminded that there are learning institutions within the communities mentioned and the effect that the lack of water will have is not only one to disrupt the classes, but the students' health and performance will also be affected.

I hope that these concerns will be borne in mind and addressed so that the supply will be restored to normality within a moderate period of time.

I am, etc.,

HEROY CLARKE

Councillor,

Montego Bay

South East Division
