I WAS most distressed to read that the woman who disrobed herself to stand with the two naked giants in Emancipation Park was subsequently taken to Bellevue Hospital.
Perhaps a psychiatrist can explain why this person's sanity was questioned, but those who squandered public funding on the monumental mistake remain untouched.
The Emancipation Park committee needs to have its collective head examined for wasting scarce resources on this sculpture, while we slave to pay increased taxes and have to keep tightening our belts. It was sheer lunacy to have spent $4.5 million on a new national symbol, without first consulting some authority on Jamaican culture.
