You're black, be proud

THE EDITOR, Sir:
WITH REFERENCE to Dawn Ritch and not being black, how stupid some people can be? When will these so-called middle class Jamaicans get rid of the chip on their shoulder?
Dawn Ritch get real, you're black and you should not be ashamed. The unfortunate thing is that many "high coloured blacks" in Jamaica feel this way. Many of these people get a shock when they go to live in England or America and are faced with their blackness.
I wish the world could be colour blind but it is not, we are all put into categories black, white etc. You're black, so be proud. The world would be a boring place without us and our contributions.
