Support for western regional CofC

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM wholeheartedly supporting the call for a western regional Chamber of Commerce. At the very least, it should strengthen their bargaining position. In giving my support however, and I am also pleading with the Chambers to not just advocate their special interests as business operators, but to advocate for better political representation and to advocate for the people of western Jamaica as a whole bearing in mind that the fortunes of their own business interests are integrally linked to the fortunes of the region as a whole.

As the strongest Chamber, I urge the MoBay CC to work with the others to get this Regional Chamber going as fast as possible and ensure widespread support.
