By LeVaughn Flynn, Staff ReporterTHE 2003-04 WRAY & Nephew National Premier League saw its biggest win yesterday when a red-hot Waterhouse scorched Seba United 6-0 at the Drewsland Sports Complex.
Weston Forrest (fifth minute), Nigerian import Uchechukwu Chinyere (18th), Kevin Lamey (40th, 56th), Damion Powell (45th) and substitute Roberto Fletcher (89th) thrilled the 'Firehouse' fans with a spectacular display of goals while engulfing Seba United in an inescapable incinerator on their newly renovated home turf.
"The culmination of the team coming back home and the tremendous support of the home crowd became the 12th man of the team," Waterhouse's coach, Harold Thomas, said after the rout.
Seba's coach, Everton Tomlinson, blamed the loss on a lack of dedication and mental weakness of his players.
"Right now, the concentration level is not there. We tried to regroup at half-time but it only got worse ... the chemistry is not there either. The players live all over the island and the bond isn't there that the club needs," an unhappy Tomlinson said after the game.
Minutes after kick-off, Chinyere struck a powerful pile-driver that hit the upright, which was to be the spark for Waterhouse.
Shortly after Chinyere's miskick, Weston Forrest opened the scoring with a powerful shot that slipped underneath Seba's goalkeeper.
THE SECOND TIME
Chinyere was lucky the second time around as he and Lamey displayed a beautiful one-two play for Chinyere's first goal in his second game since joining the club this season.
Chinyere and Lamey continued their combination play but this time included captain Irvino English for a three player combination that gave Lamey his first goal.
After missing his first two attempts at a free kick, Damion Powell found the right spot from 25 yards out for Waterhouse's fourth goal to end the half.
The second half was no better for Seba as they finished the game with ten men as Jermaine Anderson was booked for a red card for striking Michael Stone.
Waterhouse then cruised the rest of the way with Lamey and Fletcher increasing the margin.
