THE INSTITUTE of Jamaica has introduced local cards promoting Jamaican Christmas for the upcoming Yuletide season.
The Christmas cards, which were done for the first time last year, are quite different from the normal commercial Christmas cards. They bear images drawn from the Institute's collections of Christmas past, with delightful inside texts and titbits about the images on the back of the card.
The Institute of Jamaica is producing the cards as part of its promotional drive. They are also trying to raise funds for research.
The cards are available at the Institute's offices on East Street, Kingston, however, they are negotiating with some businesses to have them sell the cards allowing for easier access by interested buyers.
In the meantime, persons may contact the Institute for an order form to get their Christmas cards. Discounts are available for purchases of 24 or more.
