THE EDITOR, Sir:IT IS my belief that everyone is entitled to make certain choices and have their choices respected. The choice as to who one eats and sleeps with are among the fundamentals.
To suggest that Prime Minister P. J. Patterson was wrong in choosing not to have breakfast with President Bush is incomprehensible.
The majority of the country voted for him to be our leader so it seems that we should be able to trust his judgement on how he plans his schedule, where and with whom he sleeps and if, when and where he eats.
We teach our children not to give in to the schoolyard bully, and that bullying of those weaker than ourselves is wrong and cowardly.
This is a good lesson for children and equally good for the parents.
I am, etc,
