SIMON ROBINSON, 27, a cabinetmaker of Elderslie, St. Elizabeth, was remanded in custody when he appeared in the Black River Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday last week.
Information presented to the court is that on October 4, Robinson's parents had a dispute and his mother called him from next door to assist her.
Shortly after Simon intervened, his father reported to the police that he fired gunshots at him. The accused man was arrested and taken into custody after which his hands were swabbed and tested for gun powder residue.
The court is awaiting the results of this test.
Despite being in custody for almost a month, the accused man is yet to be charged formally. He was remanded in custody for the fourth time on Wednesday on the basis that the report from the government laboratory was outstanding.
Mr. Robinson is being represented by attorney-at-law Jeremy Palmer. He is scheduled to return to court on November 19.
