Waterhouse: A mini-stadium, what next?

THE EDITOR, Sir:
RECENTLY, AT the invitation of the 'Lovebird Kids Club' of Air Jamaica, I had the opportunity to visit Kingston, participating in the handing-over ceremony of two 'Reading Rooms' to St. Peter Claver Primary and Balcombe Drive Junior High Schools. I was also able to observe Waterhouse football team's practise by Drewsland, interact with members from the club's management team and representatives from Tank-Weld and Dairy Industries.
Saturday, October 6th was a particularly busy day at Drewsland as workers raced to meet the Sunday deadline to have the mini-stadium complete for the team's first home game in a long while. Mr. Bruce Bicknell, Ryan Peralto Jr., and the Upper Olympic Gardens Citizens Association must be congratulated for their effort. Indeed, there is a new synergy happening, a rekindle of the spirit in Waterhouse, due in part to the strategic decision adopted by the 'young Turks' within corporate Jamaica and a lessening of fear among residents, a far cry from 1999 when I last visited.
I am, etc.,
