Chisholm Avenue traffic
published: Friday | November 14, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I SEEK the help of your readers. Is it possible that someone could give me information as to how I can go about lessening, if not eliminating the traffic that passes through Chisholm Avenue? I am aware that persons are now using this avenue as a short cut, but I am concerned that trailers, trucks, buses etc. are allowed to cause such noise pollution in one area.

These vehicles are forever blowing their horns from 6:00 a.m. to 5:59 a.m. (get the picture?), with no regard to residents who may just be sleeping during that period. I really need some relief, as it is not comforting to be awakened at 3:00 a.m. by a truck or trailer blaring its horn all the way up or down the avenue. There must be a way that this can be curtailed. I am open to suggestions as this problem is really becoming frustrating. Help, please!

I am, etc.,

'DESPERATE'
