E-commerce Act pending
WORLDWIDE electronic transactions set to hit US$500 trillion by next year, Jamaica is moving towards implementing legislation to protect and enhance the way the nation conducts electronic commerce (e-commerce).

Canada hanging tough against overseas media
THE CANADIAN government is hanging tough in defence of its Investment Act, which stipulates that no overseas-based company can have majority shares in any Canadian-based newspaper or media operation.
