Honorary degrees for Gloudon, Sewell

DR. HERBERT SEWELL, left, Professor and Consultant Head of Immunology and Deputy Head of the School of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at the University of Nottingham, U.K., and popular Jamaican journalist and communications consultant, Barbara Gloudon, centre, with Professor Rex Nettleford, Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies, at the institution's annual graduation exercise held on Saturday, November 8, 2003.

Professor Sewell, who was born in Spanish Town, St. Catherine but migrated to England as a child, received the honorary degree of Doctor of Science at the ceremony, while the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters was conferred on Mrs. Gloudon.
