Diaspora debate

THE EDITOR, Sir:

In your November 9, 2003 Sunday Gleaner issue you had quite a few articles on Jamaicans overseas ­ the diaspora debate for instance! I found them informative yet provocative in instances. In New York, we are happy to see the interest Jamaicans in Jamaica have taken in us.

As we Jamaicans return home one-by-one or in groups, it is our hope that this interest will be maintained and met with equal passion; and, that adequate measures are put in place to properly receive us Jamaicans returning home.
