THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WRITE to offer my congratulations to Alvin Curling on his recent achievement. We grew up together on Northumberland Lane, Franklin Town, where his family, particularly his father, was one of the bastions of the community.

I benefited from his wise counsel as a youngster in Franklin Town and again when I went to Canada to attend university. I am not surprised at his achievements over the years. Well done my brother.
