Speaking 'perfect' English

THE EDITOR, Sir:
IN RESPONSE to Mr. Burgess, maybe he should step back from his perch and recognise that even the Englishman does not speak "perfect" English all the time. America that other English-speaking country has been brutalizing the language for centuries.
So mek we Yardies speak to other Yardies in "our" language and when necessary drop the English language on the ears that will not understand the Jamaican English.
Correct me if I am wrong, but that is how humans communicate. When inna Rome...
