Verbal commitment for change

THE EDITOR, Sir:
THE OLD locomotive for change seems ready to move after undergoing massive revamping of its engine.
Members of the team profess that they will spearhead the change that the party has long promised to undertake. Their verbal commitment to change however is no guarantee of change nor does it prove that they are able to make 'the change'. Nevertheless, the sooner the team is able to prove their genuine ability, the faster the power-starved locomotive will be back at top performance.
The team, which typifies the vim, vigour, and vitality that the party leader boasted about, have no time to celebrate as their fellow colleagues have given them the initial task of unifying the party and raising the public's confidence in the party, which plunged following the irrational, and highly emotional verbal ejaculations made in recent times, magnifying the feud between (some) senior members and the younger, more liberal-minded sect. This feud also showed the party's disunity, while hinting at its instability.
Now that 'locomotive change' seems 'good to go' I implore its members to move forward. In conclusion I would like to quote the newly elected JFF president Crenston Boxhill, "The elections are over, it is now time to build".
