The seventh scholarship, the Jamaica Centenary, went to Nichole Webb, a student of Wolmer's Girls High who got five distinctions in add mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics. She is studying medicine at the University of the West Indies, Mona.
The Jamaica scholarships are awarded to top performing students in the GCE Advanced level and CAPE examinations.
The Campion recipients were Linroy Marshall, Jamaica Scholarship, male category with four distinctions; Racquel Smith who received the Jamaica Scholarship, female category with five distinctions; Alexia Campbell, the Jamaica Indepen-dence Open with four distinctions; Pierre Bhoorasingh, the Jamaica Inde-
pendence, male, five distinctions; Stacy-Ann Whittaker, the Jamaica Independence, female, five distinctions; and Diadre Ann Rowe who received the Jamaica Adult Suffrage scholarship, five distinctions.
Diadre Ann, Stacey-Ann, Alexia and Racquel are all pursuing studies in medicine at the UWI Mona, Linroy and Pierre are enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The sixth Campion student, Se-Shauna Wheatle who earned two distinctions and a credit, was awarded the Jamaica Grace Kennedy Scholarship.
Campion also took all three of the University of the West Indies Open Scholarships that were awarded by the institution to students, Sade Bully, Joshua Thomas and Harika Dyer, who are now studying medicine, humanities and law, respectively, at the university.
