THE JAMAICA Defence Force (JDF) continued their 'below par' performance this season when they were beaten 2-0 by Mountain View in their JNBS/ KSAFA Super League match at Up Park Camp yesterday.

Strikes by Fabian Cunningham in the third minute and Ricardo Burke in the 85th gave the East St. Andrew team their third win of the season.

The match started out in attacking style for JDF but, despite their efforts Mountain View on the counter took an early lead when Cunningham headed home from a high cross in the area.

JDF continued to attack but poor shooting kept them from getting the equaliser as the half ended 1-0.

Upon resumption, Marlon Dyke got a very good chance to put JDF on level terms, but instead of heading down, he headed over from a Duval Jones cross, who himself was in a very good position to score.

POOR FINISHING

Despite getting into Mountain View's 18-yard box on several occasions, poor finishing from Dyke, Robert Wright and second-half sub Mark Miller affected JDF.

Again, Mountain View scored on the counter, Burke, who picked up a ball from midway in JDF's half, used his pace to outrun several defenders before slotting past the right hand of Patrick McCalla in goal.

At Bull Pen, Bull Bay's quest to get back into the National Premier League from which they were demoted last season, was dealt a blow when Boys' Town handed them their third defeat.

The Bulls, after having played a fairly good goalless first half, ran out of steam in the second half and eventually surrendered 2-0.

The goals came from Richard Thomas who netted in the 75th minute and Michael Campbell who booted home in the 88th.
