Hotels accused of 'racist' treatment
THE EDITOR, Sir: IN RESPONSE to the letter in today's Gleaner (December 2) regarding equal treatment of 'dark-skinned' visitors vs. 'fair-skinned' visitors, I am sure that the problem is not the hired help.

Firecrackers are illegal
THE EDITOR, Sir: A RECENT 'Letter of the Day' outlined the feelings of a lady who had lost her son to gunshots. She expressed her extreme discomfort at any sound resembling gunshots.

Burrell's achievements an inspiration
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WILL not join the bandwagon of those who suddenly think it is time for a change in the presidency of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF).

'Adopt a little piece of Mandeville'
THE EDITOR, Sir: IN AN effort to clean and beautify Mandeville, I am running a programme called 'Adopt a little piece of Mandeville'.

Partially blind man needs help
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM writing on behalf of my neighbour who has gone completely blind in one eye and the other one is going quickly as a result of glaucoma.

In a word, or two...
THE EDITOR, Sir: Music 99, simply, divine.

Hospitality as responsibility
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE BUSINESS of hospitality is not just a business, in fact, not even close. Hospitality is a responsibility, and everyone needs to get in on it.

InSport, please explain
THE EDITOR, Sir: ON WEDNESDAY November 19, 2003 I went to support my daughter who was competing for her school in the InSport Primary School Netball Competition, which was being held at the G.C. Foster College.
