Backing the music industry

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I THINK the Jamaican Government or relevant authority needs to put their backing behind the music industry. I was an employee of the tourism sector prior to my migrating and I have seen where these reggae artistes have been selling Jamaica in their media appearances.

Does the Ministry of Tourism have any system in place to support these reggae artistes?
