'Silence Zone'?
published: Thursday | December 18, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THERE IS a large sign outside the Courthouse in Ocho Rios and it reads 'Silence Zone'. Now there is much argument about whether it should be 'Silent Zone'. Would someone throw some light on this; as we know great luminaries of learning go back and forth daily to court and other business there; so from their assessment the original terminology seems to be all right.

What ever it is, I'll say honest error is to be pitied not ridiculed.

I am, etc.

RAYMOND GOLDSMITH
