Connecting to the sewer system

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WHY DOES it take four to six weeks to get an estimate of the cost to get connected to the sewer mains? Is this because we are already paying the sewer charge for nothing and so it is not a priority with the NWC?

I wonder how long it takes, to get the physical connection to the sewer system? Does the NWC care about its customers? Would some competition be useful?
