LANCASHIRE, England, CMC:
JAMAICA INTERNATIONAL Ricardo Fuller is so thrilled about his hat-trick that powered Preston North End (PNE) to a 5-3 victory over Burnley in the English First Division on Saturday, he says scoring can be better than sex.
Speaking in an interview on the Preston North End web-site, Fuller highlighted his passion for scoring with his admission that compared hitting the net to sex.
"People say that scoring a goal is better than sex and I think sometimes they are right," Fuller said.
"It is like no other feeling ... it doesn't matter if I score one, two or three goals because the feeling is still the same - I think it can definitely be better than sex," Fuller said.
Fuller scored PNE's first, third and fourth goals as they dismissed local rivals Burnley in an eight-goal thriller at Deepdale.
The 24-year-old striker has a team-leading 14 goals so far this season, twice the tally of any other player in the side.
Preston are seventh in the Division One standings with 38 points, only eight behind leaders Norwich (46), who are being hotly pursued by West Brom (45).
"We just have to keep working, because if you look at the table there are so few points covering the top nine and we need to try and make sure we are still in the same position in January and keep getting the results and we'll be okay," Fuller said.
