Khole and his money...
published: Friday | January 2, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

"YOU AND your money perish"! So said Simon Peter to Simon the sorcerer when he offered money for the power that the disciples had. (Acts 8:20). That was the thought that leapt to my mind as I read of Andre Khole's challenge to Rev. Donald Stewart, offering him one million dollars if he could prove that Satan gives supernatural powers.

The very fact that Mr. Khole brought money into the picture is enough proof that his work is inspired by the devil. I cannot see how any born-again, Bible-believing Christian could embrace Mr. Khole and his works of magic, to the extent of having him performing his acts in the house of God, and further taking part in what was supposed to be a Christian camp.

This teaches us that more and more, Christians need to know and practise the word of God and not be gullible enough to be swayed by every 'wind of doctrine'. Young people, especially, but also the old need to be reminded that in the latter days many will come saying, 'see here is Christ', but 'go ye not after them!'...for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before." (St. Matt. 24: 23-25).

I am, etc.,

M.M. STEER

Ebenezer, Bamboo PO

St. Ann
