Casinos the answer to Ja's problems?
published: Tuesday | January 6, 2004
THE EDITOR, Sir:
EVER SINCE I returned from vacation in Aruba I wanted to write to the Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism to suggest that they allow three casinos in Jamaica.
In observing the Aruba tourism product, our tour group of mixed religious persuasion unanimously agreed that casino gambling in Jamaica would improve the quality of life, reduce poverty and reduce crime.
The commentary by Mr. Buddan in Sunday's Gleaner says it all. I hope the Government will be influenced by these objective comments and analysis. I sincerely hope this article catches the eye of the government.
