Tomorrow's People to take on Mt Salem
published: Wednesday | January 7, 2004

WESTERN BUREAU:

THE CLASH between Fred Smith Western Confederation leaders Tomorrow's People and Mt. Salem which was scheduled for Jarrett Park yesterday will instead be played this afternoon at the UDC field, starting at 3:00 p.m.

The Gleaner understands that Jarrett Park has been closed for repairs to the field and will not be re-opened until Sunday for the Wray and Nephew National Premier League game between Seba United and Invaders.

Meanwhile, the game between Wadadah and Studs that was scheduled to be played at the UDC field was not played as another game was already scheduled for the field and the St. James FA was not contacted by Wadadah. That game will be rescheduled.

In today's encounter, one point separates the teams who are hoping to advance to the mid-season final next month.

Tomorrow's People, who beat Altobar 2-0 at Bickersteth on Saturday, lead with 17 points from seven matches while Mt. Salem are on 16 from the same number of games.

Mt. Salem will be seeking their sixth straight win after edging second-to-last placed Studs at the Elliston Wakeland Centre on Saturday.
