Ashamed of the potholes
published: Thursday | January 8, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

AS A citizen of this beautiful country I must say I am ashamed of what our country has become.

I travel daily to Ocho Rios where I work. When I look on what Ocho Rios used to be in the late nineties, I must admit it's worse now than then.

Why are there so many potholes on the main road leading from St. Ann's Bay to Ocho Rios? The once beautiful walkway from Dunns River to the town now looks like a low pasture and this has been this way even though almost everyday from November to December, a ship is docked at one of the two piers.

Please clean up the town.

I am, etc.,

O.J. GOODEN

Brown's Town PO

St. Ann
