An open letter to NCB Jamaica Ltd
published: Monday | January 19, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD like to find out why with advanced technology it is two steps forward and four steps backward.

While we were able to process a total lodgement from an individual or business place with all local cheques from other banks and NCB along with foreign cheques, foreign cash and local cash on one lodgement slip, now with the new system you could end up doing up to five or six lodgement slips. The breakdown would be something like this

Lodgement slip for other banks cheques

Lodgement slip for NCB cheques

Lodgement slip for cash (local)

Lodgement slip for foreign cash and lodgement slip of foreign cheques.

As you are aware, customers pay for each entry to the account and in the tourist resort towns it's not just all the charges but also extra work for the accounts clerk.

I am, etc.,

CONCERNED CUSTOMER
