Where's our recomputation grant?
published: Tuesday | January 20, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

KINDLY PUBLICISE the following note inThe Gleaner so that those who are concerned can see it and amend their ways and their doings.

There is a recomputation grant awarded to pensioners (teachers) from last year through the Ministry of Education/Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Some teachers received theirs from as early as last year August and to date some of us have not even been informed that anything like that came about. Teachers who are retired from 1997 haven't got any. At least not even N.I.S. pensions are some of us getting and we gave our service to Jamaican up to retiring age.

We want to hear about the recomputation grant and not just to hear about it but to receive it.

I am, etc.,

GRACE WHITE

Aenon Town

St. Ann
