Lauding contributions in sciences, engineering
THE NATIONAL Medal of Science and Technology is a special honour bestowed by the Prime Minister on Jamaicans who have made outstanding contributions in the natural and applied sciences, including engineering.
What is the NCST?
THE NATIONAL Commission on Science and Technology (NCST) had its genesis in the National Science and Technology Policy promulgated in 1990.

Fostered the promulgation of the Telecommunications Bill (1994) Creation of a tax incentive programme for equipment and material used in research and development.
