Placed agro-industrial diversification on a modern basis ­ flavour project with farmers of St. Elizabeth.

Prepared and reported on science and technology education policy issues.

Formation of a national foundation for development of science and technology.

Creation of a technology investment fund.

Prepared a compendium of the profiles of local S&T institutions.

Networking public sector S&T entities for greater communication and collaboration.

Advisor to the Government on the Y2K problem; made recommendations on improving IT use in Government.

Conducted a National Science, Technology and In-novation Policy Review.

Completed a perspective on renewable energy - OTEC, wind, solar

Collection and dissemination of information on S&T skills resident in Jamaican communities overseas.

Identification of indicators for the national S&T programme.

Protection of bio-diversity ­ establishment of a gene bank

Formulated and executed a biotechnology project to enhance regional and local capability.

Promoted information and communications technology (ICT) partnerships; development of projects to use ICTs in selected productive sectors.

Co-ordinated a demonstration project on the economic use of waste water.

National Science Centre/ ICWI Science Learning Centre.

Inclusion of S&T in the National Industrial Policy.
