Partnership For Progress puts its case before the JLP

A GROUPING from the 'Partnership for Progress' met yesterday with the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Edward Seaga, and his team. The Opposition expressed their appreciation for the detailed material which was presented and the quality of work which had been done.
PSOJ President Mrs. Beverley Lopez noted that, "The 'Partnership' recognizes the threat posed by the current economic state to the standard of living of every Jamaican owners and workers alike." The group has agreed that achieving consensus from the widest sections of Jamaican society around a set of initiatives, and their purposeful implementation by the social partners, is critical to moving the economy forward.
The position put forward by the group was received attentively by the Opposition, and they have agreed to continue to have further discussions in the near future.
