published: Wednesday | February 11, 2004

POLICE COMMISSIONER Francis Forbes on Monday transferred with immediate effect, Superintendent Glenford Hudson who was attached to the Greater Portmore Police Station.

Supt. Hudson who was the Commanding Officer, has been reassigned to the Inspection's Branch, in wake of the disappearance of two firearms including an M-16 rifle from the station.

He has been replaced by Detective Deputy Superintendent Corneillius 'Calf' Walker, a veteran for more than 20-years in the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). Mr. Walker served as Crime Officer for the Kingston Central Division.

In the meantime, the Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) has interviewed a number of persons at the station in connection with the guns which went missing last December.
