RED STRIPE yesterday announced the appointment of Jamaican Mark A. McKenzie as managing director effective May 1, 2004. Mr. McKenzie currently operates his own business in Puerto Rico and has over 20 years experience in the fast moving consumer goods industry.
During his career he has held senior executive positions in major companies including Procter & Gamble, Gillette and Coca-Cola, covering markets like Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Central America and others within the Caribbean. Mr. McKenzie is no stranger to Red Stripe as he started his career as a sales supervisor with D&G between 1975-1977.
Mr. McKenzie earned his B.Sc. (Hon) in Management Studies at the University of the West Indies, Mona.
He also speaks Spanish and is married with an 11-year-old daughter.
