Jamaican treasures
published: Thursday | February 19, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I'M A Guyanese and I've been living in Brazil for the past 25 years. On behalf of myself and my Brazilian friends (who strongly adore Bob Marley), I'd like to thank Jamaica for giving the world the likes of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Jimmy Cliff. Jamaica has given the world the only Third-World singers known to penetrate
the international market, which makes us all proud.

Peace and prosperity to Jamaica and its people, and to the Guyanese brothers too.

I am, etc.,
