Shocked at Dr Davies
published: Thursday | February 19, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WAS very shocked and dissapointed with the statements made by Dr. Omar Davies about the work ethic of his fellow countrymen and blacks in general. The Goverment has admitted to owing local contractors billions of dollars, yet we expect them to give their all.

If he holds the work ethic of the Asians so high then maybe it would be wise for him and all his fellow black parliamentarians, including the Prime Minister, to turn over their jobs to them, because as an extension to his way of thinking "we don't think any blackman can do work like that."

We should all remember that not every name with a MoF after it is a Finance Minister. Proud to be a black Jamaican.

I am, etc.,
