Offended
published: Sunday | February 29, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

AS A Haitian-American, I feel offended by the comments of Mr. Ulrich May. If Boukman was alive, he would realise that there is a lot more work to be done. Mr. May states that Haitians will bring AIDS, voodoo, and illiteracy to Jamaica.

In my opinion, Mr. May is just a frustrated person who himself needs education. I've been in Jamaica several times and I have many Jamaican friends.

It's a comfort to know that not all Jamaicans think like this person. I am also encouraged by the efforts of CARICOM.

I am, etc.,
