We are all migrant people
published: Wednesday | March 3, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THIS IS in response to Jackie Campbell in Florida. You certainly have a lot of gall. You are 'kotching' in another man's country yet you want us to turn back our neighbour when they need help. You have no more right in America than the Haitians, after all we are all migrant people.

It is quite okay for you to sit in the relative comfort of your home in the United States and be critical of the Haitians. Since you claim that they are taking away jobs in the United States, aren't you doing the same thing. All of us are living abroad in another man's country and we should remember 'today fi you, tomorrow fi mi'. Congratulations to our government for helping our brothers and sisters in need.

I am, etc.,
