Embarrassed for Jamaica

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I HAVE been coming to Jamaica for years and just love it. I recently returned from a cruise that docked in Ocho Rios and was dismayed to see that we were in front of the old bauxite plant (now used to load garbage?).
I was embarrassed for Jamaica. It was so sad to hear people say they wouldn't come back. I'm coming back in two weeks! I tried to tell them Jamaica was really beautiful but it was a very bad first impression.
