THE EDITOR, Sir:
YOUR PUBLISHED letter by Mr. Byfield of Boscobel, has me now convinced, that my letters to you (unpublished), were not stupid. In one of today's (Mon-day's) daily tabloids, at the funeral of SS McDonald, you could hear the call for the resumption of the death penalty for the murdering scums, endorsed by the gathering paying their last respects to the murdered officer.
Mr. Byfield's letter continues to point out what must be glorifying to these scums, when the tabloids publish the results of their murdering minds. We know it's your duty to publish the daily happenings, however, I feel positive that Mr.Byfield and myself could not be the only ones calling for the death penalty, and the ignoring of the hypocritical factions who fight against such constitutional punishments.
We need a concerted effort to send to the Government that this is a feeling of the majority, and to do this we need your assistance to publish as many letters as possible regarding the matter.
People please read and digest the last statement of Mr. Byfield's letter and ask yourself: For a better Jamaica, should we continue to be silent?
I am etc.,
