Utility companies and the MoU
published: Wednesday | March 10, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE JAMAICA Public Service Company has just applied for a rate increase. The National Water Commission has just received a rate increase. All other utility companies will be making their applications if they have not yet done so.

The big question is where does this leave us public sector workers, in light of the Memorandum of Understanding? How much more exposed can we get?

Why were the Utility companies not a part of the MoU? These increases, if given must be justified, otherwise, they should be resisted.

I am, etc.,

HOPETON HENRY
