Gun, ammo seized in Grants Pen
published: Friday | March 12, 2004

A POWERFUL .44 Magnum revolver and 28 AK-47 rounds were seized in the Grants Pen area of St. Andrew yesterday, by members of a police party who went looking for the killers of Senior Superintendent Lloyd McDonald.

At least four more suspects were taken into custody for questioning in connection with the recent murder of the senior police officer.

"One of the suspects has been charged in connection with the illegal weapon, but he will be facing an identification parade so his name cannot be disclosed," explained Deputy Superintendent Cornwall 'Bigga' Ford, who led yesterday's operation.

The police now have five suspects in custody who are being questioned in connection with the senior cop's death. The first suspect was picked up earlier.
