WEST INDIES' fast bowler Fidel Edwards could miss the remainder of the opening Cable & Wireless Test match against England at Sabina Park.
Edwards, who broke the back of England's top order on Friday's second day with the first three wickets, left the field before lunch on yesterday's third day with a side injury.
It was discovered that Edwards, 22, suffered a strain to the low left side of the back.
Meanwhile, Tino Best was a happy man at the end of the day's play. "First of all, I need to thank God for giving me the strength to run in and bowled fast," Best said.
Apart from bowling fast, Best said: "It feels really great to actually get started (with a first Test wicket)."
Best said Edwards' departure made him add more punch to his bowling.
"I think it was a privilege to lead the attack, knowing you are the quickest out of the bunch that was there (left). I think I needed to step up my game and God gave me the strength to step up my game and it worked out fantastic," he said.
Best said at the beginning of the regional first-class season his aim was to take 35 wickets and bowl as fast to get back into the West Indies team.
