WORLD JUNIOR 200 metres gold medallist Usain Bolt continued his impressive form this season as once again he proved that he has no match in his age group by scorching the track in amazing 20.78 seconds to capture the Boys' Under-20 200 metres event on the final day of the Carifta Trials at G.C. It was an afternoon stroll for the lanky Bolt as drawn in lane four he covered his rivals very quickly, running very fast around the bend before cruising the straight away to win handsomely. Norman Manley's Michael Gardener, who just a few minutes earlier had competed in the final of the 400m in which he finished second, ran well to finish second to Bolt in 21.39 with Manchester High's Nesta Carter taking third in 21.56.
Other good performances among the boys came from Calabar's Joseff Robertson who won the Under-20 400m in 47.14 seconds while Gardener was second in 47.68, and Wilbert Walker, of Morant Bay High, won the Under-20 long jump with a leap of 7.41m to beat Alain Bailey of Kingston College with 7.25m.

Holmwood Technical's Soneta Sutherland starred among the girls as she looked awesome in winning the Under-20 400m in an impressive 53.18 Vere Technical's Sharneter Stewart finished second in 53.90 and her teammate, Maris Wisdom, took bronze in 53.90.
Queen's Latoya Greaves spoiled the Marsh-Brown party in the girls' Under-20 100m hurdles as the World Youth silver medallist came storming home in the last few strides to overtake early leader Nadina Marsh to win with a personal best of 13.59. Keasha Brown of Vere finished second in also a personal best of 13.61 with Marsh of St. Jago taking the bronze, also in a personal best of 13.63.
