Nothing but 'hogwash'
published: Wednesday | March 17, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

"COURT REDUCES rapist's sentence" was downright dispicable. He should have been made to serve the full 30 years of his sentence. This 42-year-old man has no regard for the well-Being of his victims. Why should we be made to feel sorry for him. His lawyer says he was a sick man who lived in a sick society; that is nothing short of "hogwash." Now we are to feel sorry for him. I think not.

This man is a disgrace to himself and society, and his attorney should be ashamed of himself for appealing for a reduced sentence, and the judge should not have granted his request. What about the rights of his victims? Do they not have feelings also?

I am etc,

Mrs. LORAINE STENNETT
