FAME 95 FM really knows how to throw a party. First they chose the perfect venue, wonderfully spacious, secure and clean at the Jamalco Sports Club, May Pen; then they added a 'music machine' manned with the 'Turntable Technician' aka Arif Cooper, the 'Party Animal' aka Kurt Riley and 'Dangerous DJ' aka Dimitri Christian.
Added to that mixture was a community of people just looking for an excuse to party, plus quarts of Electra X energy drink and Tropical Rhythms laced with rum freely passed around. The result was a fervid fiesta worthy of the alarm, "May Day"!
Hours after the 9:00 p.m. scheduled start, a sprinkling of patrons arrived for the party, but by 12:30 p.m. the massive venue swelled to almost capacity proportions.
The music machine was pumping and the crowd was rocking. As the women strolled in, dressed to the nines but wearing 'comfortable shoes' it was obvious that they came ready to party. A few erred on the side of wearing those painful stilettos, but as the night got longer, the shoes were flung aside, the feet no doubt welcoming the softness of the grass underneath.
Various patrons made a show of it for those around them. One woman molested her lollipop to the tune of Vegas' "Hands Up" by licking, sucking and twirling it suggestively in her mouth to the obvious delight of the men around her. On the other side of the venue 2 young men appropriately named the 'Snazzy Kids' displayed dancing prowess with the 'Sling Shot', 'Ants Nest', and 'Bow and Arrow', moves they claimed to have created.
So enchanting were the dances that one woman tried to copy them but had to give up the effort as the dancers were too much for her. She, and others, contented themselves with rocking to thier own beat and watching the dancers' display.
The Fame Team contributed their share of entertainment with their antics on stage. But the new addition to the Team, Kerry-Ann, sporting flowing blond extensions, did the best job of dancing up a storm.
The Hardcopy Girls also did their bit in making the party a memorable one for a few women and a lot of the men. They paraded and danced in the Fame Frat. Gear. The display was comprised of trendy and sexy outfits for the woman who is not afraid to show a little skin.
There were mini dresses, knickers and tank tops, short shorts and hot shorts and hooded shirts and strapless tops. While these outfits looked good and got a corresponding reaction from the crowd, it was the swimsuit section that caused the biggest stir.
The swimsuits were either bikinis and in one case a tankini, but the string bikinis worn and 'worked' by the models had the men and a few women, beside themselves with excitement. Long after 2:00 a.m. the party was still blazin! and the patrons continued to roll in after 3:00 a.m.
