Jean-Bertrand should leave
published: Friday | March 26, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I'M WRITING to add my voice of objection to former President Aristide being in Jamaica. No good can come of this. If Jamaica really cared about Haiti, Jamaica should have sent in the military to make Haitians safe and secure. The Haitian people got rid of Aristide for a reason and that reason was his non-performance in office.

Jamaica has alienated our friends and partners for too long even while asking them for money and that is not in Jamaica's interest. I hope that in the future there will be no more stupid mistakes like this, And the people in power will think of the country first.

I am, etc.,
