THE JAMAICA Basketball Association (JABA) has postponed today's games in the KFC/Cable & Wireless National Basketball League (NBL) but Denham Town Wizards (8-4) and Runnin' Rebels (5-6) tip-off a triple-header tomorrow scheduled for the Stadium courts beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Monday marked the beginning of the second round and Urban Knights (9-3) got off to a good start when they outscored Wizards 72-60.

Blazing Panthers won two games in as many nights to top the NBL standings with an 11-1 record and 23 points.

Panthers chewed up Braves Chiefs (3-8) 85-46 on Tuesday then blazed past Runnin' Rebels on Wednesday 88-78.

Dwayne Harris showed up big for Panthers in both games scoring 29 and 31 points. Harris also grabbed 11 rebounds in the Braves game to help his team outrebound their opponents 37-27.

"Rebounding and our transition game was very good tonight," said Panthers coach Jason James after defeating Braves.

"A team with size such as us, any coach would emphasise rebounding. It, along with our defence, generates our offence quickly."

Braves showed little bravado during their encounter with their two top scorers, Ludlow Barker and Marlo Antoni, scoring nine points each.

Their coach, Everton Cummings, said he was missing the leadership of experienced guard Roger Marshall as point man Matthew Milwood had a tough night with five turnovers and two points.

"We are not believing in ourselves and showing the energy we had when we were winning," Cummings claimed.

While winning has been scarce for Braves, Panthers have been almost flawless this season with one loss and will meet Tivoli All-Stars in the mid-season final on April 3. Although Tivoli are the reigning champs, Panthers are the defending mid-season final champs as they defeated Tivoli last season for the second most wanted trophy in the NBL. In other games, Andrew Robateau led Harbour View Lakers (8-4) in their 91-63 victory over Rae Town Raptors (1-11) with 19 points on Tuesday. Christopher Campbell top scored for Raptors with 17 points.

St. George's Slayers' (6-6) Andre Wilson decimated Buckfield United on Thursday, going for 41 points and 15 rebounds in leading his team to a 90-71 victory. Syan Shann had 21 points and seven rebounds for Buckfield.

TOMORROW'S GAMES
Wizards vs. Rebels - 4:00 p.m.
Buckfield vs. Tivoli- 6:00 p.m.
Knights vs. Braves - 8:00 p.m.
